Automation University
consists of 1 to 4 days of hands-on training for a
wide variety of home automation related topics. There are also
many webcasts that
can be taken on-demand anytime 24/7. Classes include;
System design & estimation, product selection,
rough in wiring, product trim out (installation), programming, integration
and troubleshooting.
Our rough in classes include cabling techniques in new and EXISTING
construction. In case you're wondering, then yes we will put a drill into
your hands. Installation classes are at the end of
each day so that students who already know how to pull cable can leave
early.
Please DO NOT
overlook the "Retrofit" portion of our Rough in
training like so many other
installers
who refuse sales in existing homes for fear of pulling cables. Our courses
will help you to overcome these fears! |

SO WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
A laptop and some hand tools (wire cutter, stripper, screwdrivers etc.). We provide
the system you'll be learning on.
WHAT DO WE COVER?
Students are paired into teams of two with
each team responsible for the assembly of a complete and detailed system and/or
programming. Most classes include rough in cabling training, system layout and assembly,
setup and programming. |
WHAT ABOUT OUR CLASSROOM?
Our
hands-on workshops are conducted in our state of the art Home Theater Style classroom with
all the bells and whistles. Each student station includes a patch panel that allows
systems to access over 3.5 miles of wiring that links each team to every subsystem
imaginable!
